Particle Deposition Pattern on an Automotive Diesel Filter Using an Eulerian Probability Density Function Method

چکیده

A full 3D numerical simulation of the two-phase flow made up (bio)diesel and particles, has been carried out to reproduce deposition pattern particles in a BOSCH automotive filter. From probability density function (PDF), simple Eulerian-Eulerian model is proposed for diesel particles. The formulation allows detailed description relationship between velocity size Brinkman-Darcy approximation considered through filtering paper proved be sufficient typical filter working conditions. new tool able shown by used filters.

Eulerian transported probability density function sub-filter model for large-eddy simulations of turbulent combustion

Reactive flow simulations using large-eddy simulations (LES) require modelling of sub-filter fluctuations. Although conserved scalars like mixture fraction can be represented using a beta-function, the reactive scalar probability density function (PDF) does not follow an universal shape. A one-point one-time joint composition PDF transport equation can be used to describe the evolution of the s...

Unscented Auxiliary Particle Filter Implementation of the Cardinalized Probability Hypothesis Density Filters

The probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter suffers from lack of precise estimation of the expected number of targets. The Cardinalized PHD (CPHD) recursion, as a generalization of the PHD recursion, remedies this flaw and simultaneously propagates the intensity function and the posterior cardinality distribution. While there are a few new approaches to enhance the Sequential Monte Carlo (S...

Auxiliary Particle Implementation of the Probability Hypothesis Density Filter

Optimal Bayesian multi-target filtering is, in general, computationally impractical due to the high dimensionality of the multi-target state. Recently Mahler, [9], introduced a filter which propagates the first moment of the multi-target posterior distribution, which he called the Probability Hypothesis Density (PHD) filter. While this reduces the dimensionality of the problem, the PHD filter s...

Initializing An Unscented Kalman Filter Using A Particle Filter

This work develops an algorithm to initialize an Unscented Kalman Filter using a Particle Filter for applications with initial non-Gaussian probability density functions. The method is applied to estimating the position of a road vehicle along a one-mile test track using terrain-based localization where the pitch response of the vehicle is compared to a premeasured pitch map of the test track. ...
